“A sacred life is a ritualized life, that is, one that draws constantly from the realm of the spiritual to handle even the smallest situation.” – Malidoma Patrice Somé
LET'S CONNECT FOR A SHORT CALL IF YOU ARE CURIOUS ABOUT THE WORK
“Somatic” derives from “soma”, a Greek word which means living body. Using somatics, we work directly with the body to learn new ways to honor ourselves while unlearning societal conditioning. Ways that are more aligned with our values. Ways that respond to our longings for connection with ourselves and our communities.
A ritualized life does not mean a perfect life. It does not mean ascension. Together, we cultivate the ability to slow the system down to truly listen. During ritual we get present with feeling and sensation. We learn to improvise and create. We build energy not normally available to us and we also recognize our inherent connectedness to all things.
Community workshops help people explore not just their own inner worlds but the world we are all active participants in. We allow ourselves to be seen and heard. We also allow space for conflict and wildness in order to work through it and seek repair in real time. In a world of disconnection, we need spaces where we can be connected to our bodies and truths in group spaces.
This work harnesses the power of hands on touch, breathing, movement and vocalization to explore the body, mind and spirit. Energy work alters your state of consciousness to unlock thoughts, emotions and memories normally inaccessible to our conscious minds. Laid bare, these experiences can be examined and processed.
